Los Angeles is used for Alaska cruises primarily as a repositioning-season port, with ships calling at the World Cruise Center at Berths 91–93 in San Pedro as they move between Mexico, Hawaii, and Alaska programs each spring and fall. The terminal sits 25 miles south of downtown LA and about 20 miles from LAX; rideshare and shuttle are the standard transfers. Nearby attractions include the Battleship Iowa Museum moored a few berths away, the Ports O' Call area, and Point Fermin's coastline. Most Alaska-bound sailings that touch LA are 10+ nights and spend the bulk of the outbound leg at sea.
