About Bridgetown
Bridgetown is the capital of Barbados and the gateway to the island's pink-sand west coast. Ships berth at the modern Bridgetown Cruise Terminal, with a free shuttle to downtown's Parliament Buildings and the Garrison Savannah. Popular excursions include Harrison's Cave tram tours, the Mount Gay Rum distillery, and Carlisle Bay for snorkeling with sea turtles. English is spoken and the local dollar is pegged to the US dollar.
